Sometimes
it can be difficult to fit everything in to your garage
and this project makes use of the storage space beneath
the roof which can be easily used to store things like
ladders and lengths of timber using a rope and pulley
system.
What You Will
Need
One single wheel screw pulley
One double wheel screw pulley
One galvanized 4 inch cleat hook
A length of rope
What to Do
A.
Screw both pulleys into the underside
of the roof joists with the double pulley nearest
to your wall or fixing point.
B.
Attach the cleat hook to the garage wall below
the double pulley. Feed the two cut ends of the rope
over the double pulley and then feed one cut end
over the single pulley too.
C.
Tie the cut ends to whatever it is you are hanging.
D.
Pull the other end of the rope loop down to raise
the load and tie it to the
cleat hook.
